Our backdrop for the weekend will be the historic mission town of San Juan Bautista, CA.

Proudly home to Mission San Juan Bautista, founded by Spanish missionaries in 1797, everything in this small town is easily accessible by walking.

There are many amenities and activities for you to explore during your stay. Featured prominently in Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo, you can explore the mission and CA State Historical Park, peruse the antique stores, or sample the local restaurants and bars.

Town Historical Tour

San Juan Bautista Historic State Park

“The park includes several structures built in the 1800s. The four main historic museums are the Plaza Hotel, the Zanetta House/Plaza Hall, the Plaza Stables, and the Castro-Breen Adobe. Many of the interiors are furnished vignettes or colorful and informative exhibits that help create a unique learning environment for people of all ages. The park also features a blacksmith shop, the historic jail, and an early American settler’s cabin.”

San Benito Wine Trail
San Benito has been a wine growing region since the 1850’s, growing around the Mission’s agricultural community. DeRose has some of the oldest vines in the valley and a classic car museum too.
